On 4 January 1946, Florence E. Boughan provided information on the estate of her deceased husband C. R. Boughan, listing herself as his widow. [Essex County, Virginia, Wills Fiduciary Accounts, Etc., 8, p. 29.]

She is buried at Ephesus Baptist Church at Dunnsville, Virginia. There is a four-grave headstone marked Boughan that has Father Thomas, 1848-1921; Mother Mary, 1847-1938; Husband Roland, 1872-1945; and Wife Florence, 1876-1946.
