Snorkel Bonaire
Our first time both snorkeling and using an underwater camera. As amazing as the results were, they're nothing compared to the real thing. These are from September, 2002.

A selection of corals
Schools of fish swim all around
The little guys were so neat
...and these big guys were common
The wreck of a devastated resort
A parrot fish, and snout of another fish
This guy swam right up to Liz!
...and to the camera
Such interesting shapes
A flounder!
Spot the flounder? Click to enlarge.
Neat!
An eel!
These are called brain coral.
And I think these are antler coral
Individual, beautiful fish...
...groups of strange fish...
and an ocean of fish.
This blue guy was AMAZING in person....
Hello.
A sea cucumber!
Another sea cucumber!
Another eel. Like 4 feet long!
So pretty
A small eel, jaws wide.
At Klein Bonaire, the water was so clear
...and so shallow.
This guy sparkles
Colors and black...

A school swimming by...
...and closer...
These guys followed the warm currents
Check out these markings
still more cool fish
The biggest brain coral we saw
Trying to hide!
Still trying to hide
Anemone?
Sea urchins were all around the ruin
Look!

You could hear these guys chomping!
Another view of the ruin
And a school there
A darter and some urchins and fry below
So get a mask, snorkel and fins, and go!
