Red Rock Canyon, Nevada
In May, 2001, Liz, Ed (and some ASCP folk not pictured) went to Red Rock, twenty miles outside of Las Vegas. All photos copyright © 2001, Ed Pastore.

Red Rock Canyon is aptly named.
some rocks are red, some are super-red
Las Vegas, 20 miles away, is forgotten
Look down into incredible contortions
...or up...
...or over...
...or up and up...
...or off in the distance
and the sky was pretty amazing too
See?
And many flowers were in bloom in May
...more flowers...
(BTW, not all the rocks were red)
Great vistas in some areas
...making for great backdrops
And this sign was too funny to leave out
If you ever end up in Vegas, this is the place to go. It beats any smoky casino.
