I started out Thursday by returning to Black Bear Mountain. I was going to do this hike on Wednesday but did not have time. The hike up was rather unremarkable, just the regular trees, small rodents, and birds singing. From start to finish I had this entire trail to myself.
On my way down from the summit I took another trail that looked like it looped around the other side of the mountain. It turned out to be a poorly marked cross country ski trail. After about a half an hour of this trail blazing I returned to the original well marked trail. It was a three hour tour. ;-) |
