Sat - March 1, 2008The completely fabulous duo....Gretta & Rob!Okay...I am saying this in all honesty, I had
THE HARDEST TIME choosing my favorite photos from this session! The amazing
Gretta & Rob were such amazing subjects to capture and we went to some
pretty crazy locations for their engagement session, Justin and I were totally
"in the groove"! After much deliberation, I was able to bring my favorites for
this post down to thirty images, that's pretty good considering the fact that we
shot over 1,600 photos just for the engagement session (we usually shoot close
600 on a normal day!).
Like I mentioned, we went to some pretty crazy locations for this session. We started out in Downtown Pasadena in the parking garage just below the subway station, then shot some photos on the ride over to our next location, China town, and finally we ended up at Union Station. Gretta & Rob found us on the set of one of Justin's photo-shoots for Eliza Magazine, Gretta was one of the girls he shot for that spread and Rob happened to be there with Gretta. They mentioned that they were engaged so we set up a meeting and the rest is history. We had such a great time getting to know Gretta & Rob during their engagement session that we ended up hanging out with them in Dowtown Pasadena and grabbed an amazing Italian dinner at Il Fornaio. immediately connected with them! I could see how kind and genuine this couple
was from the very beginning and I was very excited when they decided to hire us
to shoot their upcoming wedding on March 1st. When I was talking with them
about where they might want to shoot their engagement session they instantly
suggested the beach since Casey prides himself on being a "beach body", it
really is his favorite place to be! We decided to go to laguna, but started
inland to get that urban twist and then over to the beach for an amazing
sunset!

they had heard about us through friends that we shot a wedding for last year.
We started emailing back and forth, and come to find out, Amy and I have a ton
of mutual friends...its so funny how small the world can be! Anyway, Justin and
I had such a great time with Victor and Amy the day of their engagement session.
Not only was this couple super cool, but they were also super photogenic. You
can see how much they love each other in their images!
Victor and Amy planned the engagement session on a special day, their seven year dating anniversary...it was the perfect day to capture them together. They decided that they wanted their photos to be taken at all of their favorite places around Santa Monica (since this is where they live). We started the session out at their apartment... Posted at 09:32 AM Read More Wed - November 28, 2007The Super Hot and very cool Jordan & Alma...engagments!About two months ago Justin met Alma through a
mutual friend. Since that time, Alma asked his lovely girlfriend, Jordan, to
marry him. We were super happy when Alma and Jordan contacted us to shoot their
engagement session and book us for their upcoming wedding in February.
I usually post about 10-15 images when blogging an engagement session, but I had a really hard time narrowing down my favorites since Alma & Jordan were really cool to work with, so I just decided to post them all...enjoy! We wanted to shoot their photos in Downtown Orange. The first thing we saw when scouting out things to shoot against was a fire engine truck...with no one around to stop us we quickly took advantage and had fun with it! Cherlene and Eric at an amazing loft in Downtown LA. He shot this session solo
since I have been feeling slightly uncomfortable with the baby coming soon, I
loved seeing what he got and how he captured this sweet couple. He will also be
shooting their wedding coming up on October 26th...so keep an eye out for that
post!
Posted at 12:04 AM Read More Sun - October 7, 2007An engagement with Tyler & Amy...I first met Tyler and Amy at Amy's sister's
wedding back in April, you might remember Kimberly and Morgan. At the time of that
wedding Amy and Tyler were just dating, it was so exciting to hear from them
when they got engaged and they too wanted to hire me as their photographer. We
spent the afternoon shooting in Fullerton at the Fullerton Arboretum, it was a beautiful location
to photograph and I had a good time using Amy and Tyler as subjects in the
middle of it all.

engagement session. Megan and Justin worked together in 2006 at the local High
school as volleyball coaches. Megan knew we were wedding photographers and
always talked about hiring us when her and her boyfriend (now fiancee) got
engaged. Well, Cash finally popped the question and Megan immediately contacted
us to book their date! I was lucky enough to get Justin out to shoot with me at
their engagement session last week, we had a blast!

Vanessa wanting to schedule an engagement session with me. She told me the name
of her fiancee, but I didn't put two and two together that I had already worked
with Marcus, as he was one of the groomsmen from a wedding I had shot a few
months ago with Autumn & Jason. It was fun to be able to
work with him again, both he and Vanessa were so easy going...our session
together was a breeze!

Debbie and Mike while shooting their engagement session. We started out at
Craig Park in Brea with the couple's first look of the day (there were three
clothing changes total).

first time, their good friend found me and sent them my way. I was glad when
them decided to book with me last minute for their fast approaching wedding on
August 18th, 2007. Since their date is right around the corner, I quickly
scheduled an engagement session for them.

talking about the couples they booked for the hot date of July 7th,2007...I was
lucky enough to book an amazing couple myself! Meet Helen and
Jimmy!
They decided that they wanted their engagement session to be shot at an old church where they both attended private school while growing up. Both Alumni to this beautiful place located in downtown LA...the memories were definitely present during our session. Jimmy kept joking about how he had a serious crush on Helen during Jr. high...little did they know that they would be tying the knot and growing old together! We were able to shoot inside the church for the first part and then we walked around the small historical building for the rest of the session. They decided that they wanted their engagement session to be shot at Balboa Park in
San Diego. I was more than willing to go down there, I had shot there before in
the past and had always been pleased with what came out of each session. I
especially loved this session with Kristine and Ron, not only do they look great
together, but they are truly the kindest and sweetest couple I have ever met.
They are both nurses...Kristine works with premie-newborn babies and Ron gets to
work with the adults. I am glad that I get to be a part of their wedding plans
and capture this great time for them!

married on June 30th of this year. We wanted something fun and colorful for
their engagement session and I think we did a pretty good job! They also
brought their adorable dog Snickers along for a few shots. Here are a few of my

they both have a ton of family out here in Southern California they have decided
to tie knot on the west side. This decision was definitely a plus for us when
they found and hired us for their upcoming wedding. I was also excited when
they took me up on my offer to shoot their engagement session and made a trip
out of it! We went to Craig Park here in Brea, and the weather was
beautiful!

Britt. Steve has a been a friend of the family for a couple of years now and we
were happy that he and Britt asked us to shoot their engagement session along
with their upcoming wedding. I decided to shoot at a random parking garage in
Fullerton, we ended up having a ton of fun!
