Engagement session with Kimberly & Morgan

When Kimberly and Morgan were first dating they went for a walk and ended up climbing a tree and carving their initials into it. Since then, it had become a special place for both of them. Later on, when Morgan wanted to ask Kimberly to marry him, he did it by carving the question in that same tree right above their initials. After hearing about how they got engaged, it was no surprise to me that they wanted to shoot their engagement session around that tree. Little did I know that I would have to actually be up in that tree with Kimberly and Morgan to shoot them with the carvings...it was quite an adventure!!! Although, I will have to say that it was worth the anxiety because I was able to shoot more twiggy trees... for some reason I have been so in love with capturing couples with bare branches.

I never thought that I had a fear of heights until I was up in that tree...I'm seriously getting sweating palms just remembering being up there on that trunk! My assistant took this shot of me trying to be brave... it's all for the shot, right?!

Kimberly had these amazing red heels...I had to get them in a shot somehow!

Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Clausen, see you in April!
