Our Pickle just got hitched!!!!January 11th & 12th,
2007
Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Eugene Thompson! We are so excited for our Pickle and Jeff, and we feel so blessed to have jeffrey as a new brother-in-law! The two days turn out to be pretty crazy with both of us in the wedding line and being the photographers too, but everything seemed to fall into place nicely with the help of our amazing photographer friend Matt Sloan. Matt came all the way out from Arizona to help shoot Pickle and Jeff's wedding and we were beyond thankful to have him there! The day started off In L.A. at a hotel with Nicole getting ready with all of the girls. Here's a shot of her putting on her own make-up, a little funny because she really does do hair and make-up for weddings (for any of my future brides looking for a hair and make-up artist, you should try her out, she's awesome!).
Before Jeff and Nicole went into the Temple to get married we decided to meet up at the Biltmore and do a little photo-shoot in down-town LA with all of the high rising buildings in the background.
![]() I guess you could say that this shot was definitely "inspired" from some of our other photographer friends, if you know who you are....thank you for the inspiration!

![]() They were so gutsy and did a spinning shot in the middle of the busy street! ![]()
This image of them kissing over the bridge is definitely one of the favorites from the day.
![]() ![]() Again, bare trees look amazing at this time of year!
![]() After we finished with down-town L.A., we headed over to the temple off of Santa Monica blvd. There were plenty of friends and family waiting outside for nicole and Jeff to come out. This is Hudson refusing to wear his purple bow-tie....at any rate, we thought it was pretty funny and says a ton about his personality right now!
At the L.A. temple there is a gate that each married couple walks out of after they have exited the building, usually there is a little old man that walks out with each couple and unlocks the gate. Well....the little old man forgot to unlock the gate and Nicole and Jeff were stuck for ten minutes before someone came to let them out. I think that this was the most memorable part about their day and was really a funny moment with all our friends and family watching them and giggling at the situation.
So we made the best of the moment!

I can't believe that my beautiful little sister is married!
All of my brother's and sister's...(from left to right) Jordan, Amelia, Alex, Nicole, Kenny, Daniella, and Michael. And of course, we HAD to do a ugly face photo!

Michael is one of Amelia's brothers and is often an assistant to us at weddings, carrying bags and lens, bouncing light, and running around for us. Well he always has wanted to be a random guy in the background of a shot with the bride and groom, we thought that this was the perfect time to get that out of his system! ![]()
We were so thankful that we decided to shoot in the morning in down-town L.A. because by the time we were finished with our shots at the temple the temperature had dropped like crazy and we were almost numb from the cold weather. ![]() Since Nicole and Jeff went the non-traditional route and had their wedding and reception split up into two days, Jeff's parents put on a small and intimate wedding dinner at an awesome restaurant in Laguna Beach called The Beach House. This is the happy couple coming and going.
On Friday, everyone in the family was at the reception site to help out. Since Amelia's family specializes in providing services in the wedding industry, when we say everyone was there helping out, we mean EVERYONE. We had cousins, aunts, uncles and siblings doing setting up everything from the cake to the dj stand, to the lighting on the dance floor, to the catering, to the flowers, to the photography, and to the hair and make-up. Everything turned out so beautiful!
The reception was held at the Yorba Linda Community center in Yorba Linda. Here's a great detail shot taken by Matt Sloan. ![]()
Just some of the cousins having fun with our fisheye lense!

A huge thank you to Matt Sloan for coming to help us out, we could not have survived without you!
An even bigger CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Pickle and Jeff, we are so happy for you both and we love you guys! Click here to see their slideshow, everything from beginning to end! Posted: Tue - January 16, 2007 at 03:45 AM |
