INTRODUCING - SLOAN CHARLES LYON!!!

A week ago, we were blessed with another amazing addition to our family. After 9 months of curiosity, anticipation and waiting, the day finally arrived. That just made it sound like it went by soooo slowly, when in reality, it's actually hard to fathom that it went by as rapidly as it did. On October 18th at 1:30pm SLOAN CHARLES LYON joined our family. He weighed 7lbs 3oz and was 19 inches long. It's almost scary how quickly it all happened. We woke up that morning and Amelia definitely felt like she was in labor so at around 9am we went to the hospital and by lunch time we had a baby!!! I cannot express in words how amazing the miracle of childbirth really is as a parent. There's something so sweet, so special, so emotional and so spiritual in that moment when your child is brought into the world. Another humbling thing to think about is that God has entrusted us enough with one of his children to come into our own family to love, care for, provide for and raise. We couldn't be happier! And of course, there are plenty of photos to share! (Sorry it took so long to post them, as you might have guessed, we've been a little preoccupied!!!)
