Another amazing Blessing!
Last Thursday was a very eventful day. As I
woke up feeling a little hungry (I've been hungry since is found out I was
pregnant!) I got up to walk down the stairs to get something to eat. As I took
my first step at the top of the staircase my foot slipped off of the first stair
and I clumsily fell down the rest of the 14 stairs, sliding on my rear end and
lower back. Immediately I found my sweet husband at my side helping me get up
and with a bag of frozen peas. I phoned my doctor and since I am four and half
months pregnant he thought it would be best for me to go to the emergency room
incase of serious injury to the baby and myself. After a quick prayer said by
Justin, I called my mom to let her know what was going on. As soon as word got
out to my family everyone was calling to see if I was okay and what the status
was...they all said that they would say a little prayer that everything would be
okay.
After spending three hours in the emergency room I found out that my doctor had called over and authorized an ultrasound. The first shot I saw was our little baby with a strong heartbeat making sucking motions with his mouth...tears ran down my face as the nurse confirmed that the baby was just fine and there was no harm done to him...and yes, we did find out that we are expecting another baby boy! I know that our son is totally going to hate us for posting this shot, I won't point out exactly what is here...those who are familiar with ultrasound images may be able to recognize what it is! It definitely is a boy!
I truly believe in the power of prayer, thank you to all of my family and friends that said prayers in our behalf. Even though this was probably such a small trial, we needed that extra strength and we definitely felt it!
