My sweet cousin Amber lives out of state and
recently discovered our blog when she saw my little sister's wedding. She sent
me this amazing and uplifting email congratulating us on our work and also said
that her and her cute family would be in town this week. She asked if we could
do her family portraits and of course I agreed because I thought it would be fun
to hang out with her again. Since she lives so far away and I don't usually get
to see her I was so excited for this session!
We decided to shoot at the train
station in Down Town Fullerton. When we arrived Eliza had fallen asleep on the
drive over...this was quite a little battle to get her to wake up. Luckily, we
had a few tricks up our sleeves to get her to cooperate. Here she is still
asleep:
So, Amber found a giant gum-ball
machine at the train station, and luckily for us, Eliza LOVES gum-balls...it
worked like a charm!
Baby
Porter was all smiles throughout the entire
session.
I
love this series of Amber and Matt...One of the things I love most about family
portrait sessions is taking photos of the parents, it gives them a little break
from parenthood and allows them to shine and be "just them, the happy
couple".
I had such a fun time hanging out
with my cousin again, I really miss being around her...it was fun to
catch-up!
