The Meck Experiment
Up 'til now I've never had a
website because I really didn't know what I'd do with it. Today I set up
"theMeckExperiment.net" domain and I still don't know.
Andy Ruff with the MacBU mentioned to me that if
I needed blogging space then I should look into using MVPS.org, which offers
MVPs web space and email services. After reading the list of available services
I decided to do what I've wanted to do for a long time and I registered a domain
name to start my own site.
I thought long and hard about the perfect name (I really wanted "meck.net" but that was taken along with meck.org) and settled on something representative of what I expect this site to be. "themeckexperiment.net" was really my second choice after "mecksexperiment.net" but the word "sex" just stood out too much. Imagine pointing perspective employers to something that looks and sounds like a porn site!
Of course the first thing everyone does is create a logo to set the mood. This idea is the best so far for about an hour's worth of fiddling with Adobe Illustrator. How's this?
By the way, Meck is my middle name.
