More on the [ b ] (RED) book


Wow, I am stoked on the response to my book so far. I've already had 4 people email and ask to reserve a copy of the book without even seeing it. Thanks to those who are supporting the (RED) movement.

Here are the images that I have chosen so far (I may swap one or two before the final printing next week):






Again, the book will be bound by Leather Craftsmen, the same company that makes our wedding albums. If you would like one, send a check for $500 made payable to Becker Photographer at PO Box 3714, Mission Viejo, CA 92690. If this book is being shipped to a California address, make the check for $538.75 because I do have to charge sales tax. Here is the forward of the book, written by Jessica Claire:

Of the 42 million people living with HIV/AIDS, 74% of those people are living in Africa. Of the African people infected, one out of five is a recent or expectant mother.

The (RED) campaign not only benefits people who are infected and can't afford treatment, but also teaches fortunate consumers that by making the choice to purchase a (RED) product, they are improving the very nature of humanity with that choice.

The photos in this book have all been carefully chosen by Becker from his travels around the world. There are photos from Jamaica, Mexico, Hawaii, Italy, America, Bermuda, and of course, Africa.
