Football Kick Off Party! Now that was just some good clean fun!
Today was first full day of NFL action, so I hosted my annual kick off party...
complete with "Big Sandwich", pizza, hot wings, mom's home made salsa &
plenty of frosty beverages. We started at 9AM with the pre-game show and the
hard core football fans and the Krispy Kremes (we also had some fresh
fruit).
Matt set the tone of the day by bringing me such a fabulous gift. I think I'll now start collecting lawn ornaments: ![]() Caden was outfitted in his Kansas City Chiefs jersey, his Converse All Stars and his new "Mini-Me sized football watching chair": ![]() He was also in rare form and very excited about the start of the season: ![]() ![]() Have you ever seen such a beautiful site?: ![]() Here is Matt neglecting his child again: ![]() Gary & Jana: ![]() Emily, Ray, Sara & Cole: ![]() Sara & Andrew: ![]() Some peeps: ![]() Here's Marisa, sporting her Redskins gear... she was forced to sit outside: ![]() My good friend Charlie Samples came all the way from Oklahoma (he was already in town): ![]() More peeps: ![]() Katie was the big winner in the poker tournament: ![]() I am bummed that the Cowboys lost to start the season, but they looked as if they had some potential. The match up between the Manning brothers lived up to the hype... it was really fun to watch. The Ms. Pacman machine was a hit with the kids, and my 30 something year old friends. (by the way Gary, I put up 230,330 on Galaga!) I just wanted to thank everyone who came by. At one point, there were like 10 little kids at my house which makes me a little twitchy, but I managed to get through it. I wish I had taken more pictures though. Even though we use football as an excuse, it was really all about getting together with friend and family. The say that you can measure an man's wealth by his friends... I feel like a millionaire! I have great friends. I am truly blessed. .
