The Great American Road Trip - Day 6 - Route 66

Whew! Home at last! Just about 3000 miles covered in the last 7 days. It was truly an adventure I'll never forget. Jessica and I had an amazing time, and took some awesome photos. However, I am happy to be home and can't wait to sleep in my own bed tonight. On our way home we wandered off of I-40 and explored some little towns along Historic Route 66 namely Williams, Hackberry and Oatman, Arizona. Jess also made us go to Bedrock City near the Grand Canyon, but I don't want to talk about that!

I love shooting textures and especially old signs and logos. Rust is good! Old stuff is good too!:

I've always been fascinated with the Farmers Almanac, I didn't realize it had been around so long:

These were all taken at the Hackberry general store just about 25 miles north of Kingman on Route 66:

Anyone want a frosty beverage:

People from all over the world have visited, added a pin to the map and left a bunch of foreign currency:

Here's my "haven't-shaved-in-a-week-and-ran-out-of-hair-product-look":

Thanks to everyone who checked my blog and followed along on our trip, I had over 10,000 visits since we left last Thursday.

And any wedding photographers who are reading this, I encourage you all to go out and shoot some images for yourselves before wedding season gets going. It's great to refresh, recharge and get those creative juices flowing!

[ b ] well!
