The Great American Road Trip - Day 4 - RoswellOn Sunday, we left Taos for a long drive
to Roswell, New Mexico in search of evidence of alien life forms. The drive took
us through a mountain range in the north east part of the state that took us
over icy roads and 6º temperatures. It sure was nice having the H3 and 4
wheel drive. We also drove through B.F.E., which I didn't realize was an actual
place?!?!?:
![]() We finally made it to Roswell, and got a photo of the "actual" crash site: ![]() Even Coca-Cola cashed in on the local commercialism of the local legend: ![]() It's funny to think about "Photographic Evidence" back then since they didn't have Photoshop in 1947: ![]() I am not sure what happened here back in July of 1947, but you can read some interesting theories on Wikipedia. Then we just walked around downtown Roswell looking for scenics and textures: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Just a little rusted shack in the town of Tinnie: ![]() ![]() Of course Jessica has wonderful images on her blog. Check back tomorrow for images from Monument Valley. .
