Sadly Charlie Dixon (aka Charlotte Helen Armstrong) passed away the
13th January 2007. I am leaving these pages here in her
memory. Charlie was always a lady, in every sense of the word, and her
passing will be mourned by many.
The Sanctuary was sold a couple of years before, and is in the process
of being renovated in a most sympathetic manner by the new owner.

As an example of an unaltered cruck-built late medieval
house, The Sanctuary is of some historical importance, and as such it
is included on the list of buildings of special architectural or
historic interest compiled by the Secretary of State for National
Heritage. The Sanctuary is listed as a grade II* building (some historical notes here!). It is
home to two sheep , two
dogs (Jordy now has a friend!) and three cats at present, as well as
the world famous Rossarden cairn terriers bred by Miss Dixon.(See the Sanctuary Cairn page ).
Unfortunately the local fox ate all the previous chickens and ducks,
but in 2001 we aquired two wellsummers and two marrans to keep us in
eggs. The two remaining hens (one got eggbound - ugh!, the other just
laid down and died) have a smart new ark from Forsham Cottage
Arks.
of the house and surrounding area, (including one I took from a
glider!).
This is Jordy!
I studied with the Open
University , and successfully completed M206
in 1998, followed by M358 (relational databases) and MT262 (putting
computer systems to work) in 1999 which completed my Diploma of
Computing and Bsc(Open). I have also studied applications programming
in C with Computeach
, and passed my City and Guilds in 1999.
Since graduating, I have been working as a software engineer at MPC-Data Ltd, a
company based in Bradford on Avon who specialise in realtime and
embedded systems, which is where I met my partner.
I have four daughters, and they are all interested in horses. Click
here for pictures of them
on various horses. The eldest did a equine science degree at Hartpury
College, and the second eldest did her degree in animal science at
Worcester following an HND at Moreton Morrell.
The youngest - Sarah, was
born 18 days late on 02/02/02 - obviously hanging on for the cool
birthdate!
