Understanding Sensory Dysfunction

Sensory Integration

Professional Development Seminars

Polly Godwin Emmons and Liz McKendry Anderson

Sensory Integration is coming to the forefront of education as a key element in the areas of learning, development and behavior. Sensory integration is the ability to feel, understand and organize sensory information from one's body and environment. In essence, Sensory Integration sorts, orders and eventually integrates all individual sensory inputs for cognitive and social-emotional development, and so is central to children's growth. This plays out in both academic achievement and classroom behavior.

This training is a must for all public and private schools that are interested in promoting optimal learning and student achievement as well as integrating effective management techniques into the school environment.
