Day 7 Swimming with the Fishes

Last day! First I went to the secluded Kekaha Kai state park, then drive south through Kona to try and find the road to Cook Pt. where Cpt. Cook landed in 1778.

Mahai'ula Bay at Kekaha Kai Park This is where I snorkled, saw 2 turtles. The road to Cook Pt? ...turns into a path through tall grass ... then gets wider over rock and scrub ...took about 50min to get down... through the ruins of an old settlement.. ...reminded me of Olympos in Turkey... ...and down to Kealakekua Bay...fish! Yellow Tang from the shore... Cook Monument uh...fishy fish? Yellow Tang and an urchin Ornate Butterflyfish Parrotfish...notice the teeth Butterfly Longnose Butterflyfish Stout or maybe Whitemouth Moray should have taken a movie... Peacock Grouper Fourspot Butterflyfish Pinktail Triggerfish Humuhumunukunukuapoa'a ? Stripebelly Puffer Humuhmu... well you know the rest... I thought Tang was orange?
