It is not necessary to generate every single word separately with Minspeak. Common word strings like those that start with a pronoun and end with a verb are stored as phrases in folders labelled I, You, He, She, It, We and They, e.g. I see, I show, I find, I get, I scare, I tell, I meet, You see...

12 special verbs can be put before a pronoun in a phrase: Have, Do, Will, Be, Would, Could, Must, May, Can, Should, Might and Shall. Each one has its own folder containing phrases like: Have you, Will you, Can you, Could you, Does it, Is he, Are we, Am I.

There are many, many possible combinations of the pronouns with these 12 verbs and they are used so frequently in everyday speech that they account for around one fifth of everything we say. The picture below shows 7 of the 12 verbs. The number of keystrokes needed to phrase, compared with single word production, is significantly less - at least 50% less.

All these phrases can be generated with the single words found elsewhere in Core Explorer.

The 12 special verbs phrase folders have been left out of Barebones Folders and Frequent Folders Views of Core Explorer so that a user is exposed to a small as possible initial set of essential items to learn.
