Query 9: Fringe (x-core) words used?

Back to JAFW search page       LLL flashcards database

Any words uttered that don't belong in the 500 common core are put in the 'Fringe' table. Many of them will be discovered to be Michael's personal core, but any of the 500,000 words in English could be uttered and recorded at least once, so it will take some analysis to discover Michael's core from what is truly fringe vocabulary.

We will turn to AAC Institute's PeRT database to discern Michael's personal core vocabulary. We're going to Katya Hill's Evidence Based Practice and Language Analysis Study Day 21 September 2006 to learn how to use PeRT.

The 'User Select' field is to help us disentangle Michael's choice of vocabulary from that suggested by others.
