Explorers and Aliens on Planet Poo!

Every December since 2000, 1 Voice (support group for children who use communication aids and their families) has invited a dozen under thirteen year olds who use communication aids, and their families, to come along for a weekend of themed activities including drama, dance and art workshops for the kids, AAC workshops for the parents, disco, fine food and drink, and most important of all, a chance to spend time with teenage and adult Role Models, who are proficient users of their AAC systems, and who inspire and teach us through their own achievements, that the sky is the limit for our kids too, in their lives and with their AAC.

The theme for December 04 was 'Space'. Buzz Lightyear and Thunderbirds 'buzz' words and props featured in drama workshops and activities throughout the weekend. Some of the pics below link to movies.
