Grand Master Fusei Kise, Sensei Lisa Swanson's teacher, is 10th dan, which is the highest rank that can be achieved in karate. His title in our organization is Meiyo Kaicho, which is like "Chairman of the Board" or "CEO".
Grand Master has trained and taught martial arts for over 50 years and teaches karate on the Marine Corps camps and Kadena Air Force Base on Okinawa, Japan. In addition Hanshi - this title denotes something like PhD in martial arts - has written two books. The first, The Spirit of Okinawan Karate, has been published in both Japanese and English, and is available for purchase here.
