I would be a criminal and outlaw

One of the people whom i admire most is Celia Green. She is a scientist, philosopher, writer, and possibly one of the most courageous people i've ever discovered. Here is a line from one of her most recent blog entries: Despairing of society as a source of significance.
I would be a criminal and outlaw because I was breaking the taboo which decrees that respectable persons do not think of themselves as better than society tells them they are.
Another fabulous website whose articles i read weekly is Butterflies and Wheels. As an atheist and a secular humanist, i am always glad to peruse writing which debunks nonsense, particularly the iconoclastic prose which trashes religion and other human stupidity. A couple of my favorite parts of their website are The Wooly-Thinkers Guide to Rhetoric and the Fashionable Dictionary.

I purchased a Panasonic DMC-TZ1 camera from J&R.com. The sale price this month was an incredibly low $160 (compared to its original $300 back in 2006), and it came with a free 512MB SD memory card. I'm not a very good photographer at all, but this device makes it very easy to take decent pictures. I experimented during the past couple days, and now i've uploaded my first set of twenty-six pictures to my new Flickr account, giving a quick tour of some parts of my home, and Bellingham Bay as seen from our northwest windows:
