to Paradise’ - Lady Diarists and the Tour of Wales 1795-1860 - a talk,
with slides and illustrations, by local resident Liz
Pitman.
Based on travel dairies of some of the intrepid women who travelled to Wales in the early 19th Century in order to enjoy picturesque landscape, antiquities, and the excitement of being in a country where Welsh was the main language. To be followed by a short Community Association meeting. 7.45 pm start (doors open 7.15 pm) at the WRVS, Vicarage Road, Hereford. Enquiries tel Kate on 264146.
