Saturday 29 August is Climate Action Carnival Day!


So, the plan is that from 11am onwards in HIGH TOWN we will be joined by the fabulously elusive and legendary Rinky Dink Pedal Powered Sound System... will they be here?? we so hope they will! Hereford's own Sunshine Radio will also be with us, and we will have some lovely sounds for you all... 
 
We'll Carnival! from 12 - 1.00 & we're inviting you to bring along your bike... either dressed up for a simple pedestrian parade (there's no cycling allowed in High Town :(  ...), or ready for the road if you would like to join a cycle ride out around Hereford ring road & roundabouts etc... so at your own risk Brave Carnivaleers! If you feel like cycling further afield, Chris Keene of the Zero Carbon Caravan will be making his way down from Ludlow on Saturday morning - and would love some Hereford cyclists to join for all or part of the ride. After the Carnival, from 1 - 2.30 at the Shire Hall, we have talks, discussions, information... Paige Mitchell will tell us all about speed and carbon reduction, Chris Keene will let us know how to live a zero carbon lifestyle (that's ZERO carbon!), and we will have an open discussion about local transport issues (including how to start your own car-share club) ...alongside the usual hot drinks, letter writing opportunities, lots of lovely people networking, local group info, etc, etc...
