'Start Here' project offering FREE courses available to those that are eligible


The 'Start Here' project aims to help adults back into learning and to improve their job prospects. It is for adults wishing to develop their skills, improve job prospects or simply enhance personal and family life. The project welcomes Jo Hardwick as the new Learning Ambassador working alongside Gail Venables who works part-time.
 
If you have less than 5 GCSE's at grade C or are wanting to return to work then please get in touch. You may also be eligible if you are;
1. Lone parents (with children aged 16 or below, or in full time education) or
2. An ex-offender or
3. A refugee or
4. Have drug or alcohol abuse issues or
5. Homeless.

'Start Here' have FREE courses available to those that are eligible. We can offer Food Hygiene, Counselling, Computer skills, First Aid, Preparing to go back to work and more! Many people that do our courses are nervous about returning to learning and joining one of our courses can really improve confidence and self-esteem and also help people back into work. The project is funded by the Learning and Skills Council Co-financed European Social Funds and the courses are run in partnership with Herefordshire College of Technology based at the South Wye Learning Centre (Stanberrow Road) and the WRVS Riverside Community Learning Centre (Vicarage Road).
