What follows here and in the next section are projects with more conventional aspirations. The focus of the projects previously described was to do extraordinary things. But one cannot do so without fully mastering the medium and building a skilled team. That’s what the projects described below were about.
All of these projects are from the 1972-74 timeframe. The notion at the time was to initiate a research project parallel to the one which worked on minds one at a time. The ambition was to work on large groups. (We knew at the time that the area was destined to become the world’s largest military installation.) So these were notional efforts. That is, what you see will be competence in the functional design of projects, with some groundwork for formal provisions. The detailed design would have come later. This work often prompted projects that were later built. But our work in this domain was abandoned. | ||
