The F Addition was quite a bit more challenging: the existing structure was termiteridden; the lot was tiny; the space was to be more than doubled; the owner had salvaged some heavy timbers which he wanted used; the design was to be novel envelope solar design; and of course the budget was skimpy. You can see that we used railway trestle assembly techniques and fittings. The old house is suspended from the new structure. All of the systemization tricks previously developed were employed. Our team performed essentially all work on all projects, which made the system linkages possible. | ||
