This client was a key individual in the local Cayce community and somewhat of a visionary mystic. The house was to be in a community to the north, based on a simple series of ley lines from White Hill, behind the Cayce building. Ley lines are not mentioned in the Cayce material but are a common element of New Age cosmology. They are lines of force that crisscross the Earth, sometimes thought to be magnetic. The client saw the whole Cayce cosmology (and the ecological balance of the planet) in terms of these flows, so they provided the simple reference for the formal vocabulary. In this project, the form is hidden in mundane shapes, a deliberate and difficult challenge. The house, as built, deviated slightly from the plan, which is to say in no important respect were the ideas implemented. | ||
