lrcpic16b.jpg This web site was created to honor the late Major. General Levi R.Chase, Jr (12/23/17 - 9/4/94). General Chase had an extraordinary career as one of the great fighter pilots and combat commanders of the United States Air Force. He flew and fought in four combat tours, which spanned WWII, the Korean conflict, and Viet Nam. He completed a total of 512 air combat missions during his career and scored twelve air combat victories during WWII. This places him at number 91 on the all-time list of USAF aces. He is one of only three American fighter pilots to have scored victories against all three Axis nations. General Chase was also one of the most decorated pilots in the USAF. He won the Silver Star three times and was a six-time recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross. Among his other decorations are the Croix de Guerre and the British Distinguished Flying Cross w/bar.
