| The
intention of this site is to broaden the discussion of what we most want
in provisions for education for people of all ages, cultures, races, genders,
orientations, and viewpoints. The goal is to co-construct together a simple
elegant statement of values that can guide our actions in creating optimal
learning spaces.
This
site contains documents created by Tom Drummond who is currently exploring
these values in his own classrooms in Early Childhood Education at North
Seattle Community College.
A group of
faculty and students are creating a Dialog
About Learning at that campus.

One class
this Winter Quarter 2005 has reflected on these values.
CCE
166, Cultivating Conversations looked at the Declaration of Values
for Provisions for Learning and wrote anonymous responses to the question,
"What is your experience of these values?"
Their responses in .pdf>>
In the next session members of the class read
a compilation of everyone's comments.
One group of five was willing to be tape recorded. Their discussion
of these values became a slide presentation. You can see that slide
show here.
