When you purchase the program you receive a 3-ring binder with 8 tabbed sections, two for each of the four modules. One tab takes you to the directions for the session; the other to the handouts to duplicate for the participants.

  1. Session Guide provides background information for the leader (Guide) for each of the 10 sessions in each module, specific actions to take in each session with exact words to say, and a list of what is to be prepared ahead of time;
  2. Handouts are duplicable sheets that explain each task for the participants to take home. These become a part of their portfolio that tells the story of their transformation in the modules.

Purchase of one copy of Connecting to Children for $70 and gain unlimited reproduction rights for the Handouts but not the right to reproduce the Session Guide.

The ideal funding scenario:

Here are the computations of how Connecting to Children could be implemented in your community for $620 per person.

  • 4 modules, each 10 sessions, each 45 minutes, once a week equals 40 weeks.
  • Each participant pays the Guide $3 per session, (10 people equals $30/hr compensation). $3 x 40 sessions = $120 per participant.
  • Each participant is awarded $100 stipend as an incentive for completing modules D1, D2, and D3 = $300 per participant.
  • Each participant earns $200 stipend for completing module D4 = $200 per participant.

This is a tiny amount when compared to the costs of conferences and/or college tuition. One year of once-a-week meeings results in a life time of transformation: the person is happier, the chidren are happier, and the parents are happier.

$620 per person

In the "ideal scenario" all $620 goes directly to those giving and receiving the education to increase their competence on the job or in the home. If a person wants to continue their education, the porfolio of documentation of each module might very well be accepted by a local college as advanced placement or work experience credit.

College tuition at North Seattle Community college, for example, costs each person $571.20 for four 2-credit classes. That tuition money disappears from the center or school.
