Day Two: 103 miles. Santa Cruz to King City. After getting to camp late late we were almost forced to 'SAG' it to the next stage. Pleaded with officials to unload our bikes from the SAG truck....

OK we admit it. We didn't stay in tents. Missing sock made us late... Artichokes! Really yummy deep-fried artichokes! Sun makes an appearance at the lunch-stop. Porta-potties the best place to go if your head ignites. The usual lunch-time chaos. PM: we start to head further inland. Tail winds are promised! We get to meet chicken lady! Circus theme at this rest stop distracts us from resting. Wayne is eager to learn how to add personal touches to his helmet. Kiddies come out to greet us somwhere along the route. Uh oh. Wayne gets a ticket. Oh - that grass! Bad parking also gets Tim into hot water. Offense: flirting with an officer.
