Misumaru, Kouichiro

Admiral Kouichiro Misumaru is immensely proud of his daughter, Yurika; however, he cannot escape his duty as a UE officer. In the series's second episode, "Leave the Blue Earth to Me", Kouichiro Misumaru is placed in command of the UE's third fleet with orders to take the Nadesico from his daughter. The move fails, and the Nadesico escapes. Yet, Admiral Misumaru never truly wanted his daughter to surrender. Despite working for the UE, Kouichiro is rooting for Yurika.

As the final stage of the war begins, Admiral Misumaru apparently sides with the UE, but do not discount his allegiance to his daughter.
