Haruka, Minato

Quitting her job as a corporate secretary, the ravishing Minato becomes the Nadesico's navigator. She soon becomes romantically involved with Goat Hory, but mid-way through the series, it ends sourly. In the manga, she and Akito become romantically involved following the ship's return from Mars. Alcohol and mutual desperation were involved.

Following her relationship with Hory, Minato takes a liking to the Jovian Shiratori. She introduces the man to physical desire; however, this love ends in tragedy with the assassination of the ambassador. Minato adopts the man's little sister to raise as her own.
