Fressange, Inez

A Nergal scientist who designed the Nadesico's PT engines and distortion field. She was one of the few survivors of the Jovian attack on Mars, holding out in a shelter below the surface. She was taken aboard the Nadesico when it arrived on the red planet.

Her past is mysterious. With no memory of her childhood, she was found abandoned in the Martian desert at age 8. It is because of this that she, as an adult, is emotionally unattached. She is cold, not caring who lives or dies. In the manga, Inez is a lesbian and works for the Jovians.

The first letter of Inez is "I". It is pronounced "Ai".
