Welcome to Nadesico: Project Schiaparelli v3.0, dedicated to becoming an online compendium to the anime series Martian Successor Nadesico. Here, you'll find a wealth of resources and obsessive information on virtually every inch of the ND-001 High Mobile Battleship Nadesico, her crew, and her world. Produced by Xebec, Kidoseiken Nadeshiko (Mobile Battleship Nadesico) was broadcast in Japan from November 1996 to April 1997. The series was directed by Tatsuo Sato with character designs by Keiji Goto and mecha designs by Mika Akitaka. The story was developed by famed sequential artist Kia Asamiya, who would continue to adapt the saga in an independent manga titled Meteor Schlachtschiff Nadesico. In 1999, ADV Films began the process of bringing the animation to American otaku, christening the US release Martian Successor Nadesico. Nadesico follows the ND-001 Nadesico, a civilian warship created by Nergal Heavy Industries, and her journey across Earth, Mars, and Jupiter. A complex and compelling war narative, Nadesico blends humour and drama into a seamless tragic fantasy. |
