As film companies keep changing their emulsions to the dismay of many an astrophotographer, some have switched to digital imaging. The prefered method is using a charge-coupled device (CCD) based imager/camera. Others take apart a webcam and use it for imaging. I have an SBIG ST-4 imager/autoguider and a SAC-IV USB QuickCam-based imager. I haven't used the ST4 much for imaging, yet, but I have finally started using it as a guider. And I am starting to use the SAC-IV more with my iBook and my LX200 or ETX90. Here are a few samples.

I just got an ETX125AT and a Mogg adapter for my OrangeMicro iBot FireWire webcam. First light on Mars with this combination is promising. I have also acquired a Philips ToUcam Pro. I have begun to use an IR blocking filter with my webcams.
