In August 2000 I visited Jacó, Costa Rica. I stayed at an under-construction house owned by a friend of a friend. The house was right on the beach, so my friend Hunter could stumble out to surf half-asleep in the morning. The beach sand makes for some fun photos. Sunset was particularly rewarding, even if we were feeling our way around in a sea kayak. We also visited a rain forest fairly near to Jacó. Since the forest was right on the ocean I could get some more interesting and unusual photos. There was even a beach area secluded among the trees.
