What is "Ath"?
Science fiction novels Seikai no Monshou (Crest of the Stars) and
Seikai no Senki (Banner of the Stars) were written by Yukihiro Morioka,
a Japanese write. "Baronr" is the fictional language of a race "Abh",
which appears in these novels. "Ath" is the character set for Baronr.
More information will be found in Sidryac Borgh=Racair's web page Dadh
Baronr --- Universe of Baronr (written in English).
What is athTeX?
"athTeX" is an environment that enables the use of Ath in LaTeX2e.
It consists of two files: a METAFONT file athTeX.mf
and a macro file athTeX.tex.
Disclaimer
Baronr is the invention of Yokihiro Morioka. The original Ath characters
were designed by the animation production Nine Lives. Takashi
Miyamoto designed METAFONT characters in athTeX.mf without permission
of Yukihiro Morioka and Nine Lives, using printed Ath letters, which can
be found in the book Seikai no Monshou Dokuhon (published by Hayakawa
Shobou in 1998), as reference. Takashi Miyamoto permits the use and
re-distribution of athTeX only for non-commercial personal use.
Usage
A sample of usage is shown in a LaTeX2e file athTeXsampleE.tex. A PDF-format
output of this file is athTeXsampleE.pdf.

- "Ath Fonts"
: Original Ath fonts created by Isshie. You can find many Ath TrueType
fonts for Win/Mac. Written in Japanese only.
- "AbTeX Home"
: Another Ath-environment for LaTeX created by Ippei Fukubayashi. I
recommend you to use AbTeX rather than my athTeX. AbTeX uses a more
sophisticated way of handling ligature (use of TeX macro) than mine (use
of ligature table).
