Powerbook G3 Wallstreet take-apart instructions
You'll need a regular screwdriver, a small philips, a torx-8 and for step 22 a torx-6. I'm also selling these parts, see www.apfelklinik.de for details.
If you find these instructions helpful, please consider a small donation:

1. Remove the modules from the module bays.
2. Pull the levers inside towards you to unlock the keyboard.
3. flip the keyboard over, remove heatsink 1+2, HD 3, Modem 4 and keyboard 5-8
4. Touch the metal to get rid of static electricity, then pull HD up.
5. Pull the power plug, remove RAM from upper slot.
6. Use the torx-8 to lever the processor board, then pull it to the right.
7. Now you can remove the RAM from the lower slot on the bottom of the card.
8. Squeeze the screwdriver under the clutch cover to losen it a bit ...
9. ... then pull it firmly up (this will unfix the other side too).
10. Next, remove the four torx-8 screws on the back.
11. Gently pull at the data cable.
12. Remove the power cable (warning: metal tools cause a short-circuit here!)
13. You can easily remove the display now.
14. Next, remove screws 1-4, don´t forget to pull the PMU cable from its socket.
15. Now remove the 8 bottom screws (numbers mark the order for reassembly).
16. Some models come with a metal clip.
17. Pull the top part up, starting on the rear. Mind the cable on the back.
18. Pull right side of sound card a bit towards you, then pull left straight up.
19. Remove the power-/charge card combo. Mind the metal levers on reassembly.
20. If you intend to exchange the I/O logic board, remove the fan now.
21. Do NOT use the narrow part as a handle. The back is a bit sticky, btw.
22. Turn I/O Board over and remove the 4 torx-6 screws.
23. Now you can remove the pc-card cage.
24. Remove 1+2 to access the PMU board, 3 is the PRAM battery, 4 the trackpad.
25. Gently flip up the PMU board.
26. Use torx-8 to gently lever the cables from the board. That's all for now!
