| | 1. Remove the modules from the module bays. | |
| | | 2. Pull the levers inside towards you to unlock the keyboard. | |
| | | 3. flip the keyboard over, remove heatsink 1+2, HD 3, Modem 4 and keyboard 5-8 | |

| | 4. Touch the metal to get rid of static electricity, then pull HD up. | |
| | | 5. Pull the power plug, remove RAM from upper slot. | |
| | | 6. Use the torx-8 to lever the processor board, then pull it to the right. | |

| | 7. Now you can remove the RAM from the lower slot on the bottom of the card. | |
| | | 8. Squeeze the screwdriver under the clutch cover to losen it a bit ... | |
| | | 9. ... then pull it firmly up (this will unfix the other side too). | |
|
| | 10. Next, remove the four torx-8 screws on the back. | |
| | | 11. Gently pull at the data cable. | |
| | | 12. Remove the power cable (warning: metal tools cause a short-circuit here!) | |
|
| | 13. You can easily remove the display now. | |
| | | 14. Next, remove screws 1-4, don´t forget to pull the PMU cable from its socket. | |
| | | 15. Now remove the 8 bottom screws (numbers mark the order for reassembly). | |
|
| | 16. Some models come with a metal clip. | |
| | | 17. Pull the top part up, starting on the rear. Mind the cable on the back. | |
| | | 18. Pull right side of sound card a bit towards you, then pull left straight up. | |
|
| | 19. Remove the power-/charge card combo. Mind the metal levers on reassembly. | |
| | | 20. If you intend to exchange the I/O logic board, remove the fan now. | |
| | | 21. Do NOT use the narrow part as a handle. The back is a bit sticky, btw. | |
|
| | 22. Turn I/O Board over and remove the 4 torx-6 screws. | |
| | | 23. Now you can remove the pc-card cage. | |
| | | 24. Remove 1+2 to access the PMU board, 3 is the PRAM battery, 4 the trackpad. | |
|
| | 25. Gently flip up the PMU board. | |
| | | 26. Use torx-8 to gently lever the cables from the board. That's all for now! | |
