Overview
Mobile in 1994
GMouse is a very compact sound module - its weight is 200g.
Most of its body is occupied with the space for batteries.
KAWAI intended it to be a tool for mobile computer user,
and equipped it with a serial interface.
GM sound module
GMouse uses PCM playback without filter as its synthesis engine.
GMouse is a GM sound module with least specs.
It's 28 polyphonic - 8 is for drum part) and has one reverb effect.
Virtually nothing is editable, but modulation/aftertouch for vibrato and pitch bend is possible.
GMouse has 128 GM sounds.
As there are some layered sounds, I suspect it has a very simple 2 oscillator architecture
like KAWAI XS-1 PCM playbacker synth.
Guessing from the 'Rain' GM sound (see 'Percussion' sound example on the next page),
GMouse seems to have no complex pitch controls like pitch EG.
It seems that GMouse uses sampled pitch fluctuation rather than pitch EG or independent LFO.
