ENSONIQ SQ-R
SoundDiver editor
New SQ-R adaptation
I made a new SQ-R editor for Emagic SoundDiver.

About this adaptation
I made this adaptation with SQ-R, SQ-R plus 32 voice,
SoundDiver 3.0.5.2 and Mac OS 9.1,
but it will work with other versions and platforms.
According to Ensoniq's SysEx documentation,
it should work with SQ-1 / SQ-2 / SQ-R / KS-32
with all thier variations (SQ plus / SQ plus 32 voice).
This adaptation supports the expansion ROM waveforms added in SQ plus 32 voice version,
which is not supported by Emagic.
It also does minor fixes with Emagic's preset adaptation.
Because of my personal preference, many minor parameters are omitted for the sake of quick, intuitive editing.
(Only 8-Voice Chorus can be used as the effect. Some envelope steps and velocity curves etc. are omitted.
The pitch envelope is simplified as Auto Bend.)
To edit further details, use Emagic's adaptation.
How to edit
Load "initsq.lib" and always start editing from this initialized data.
The three lines of parameters represent each layer.
To use the expansion ROM waveforms,
turn on both the two black boxes in the waveform menu.

Expansion ROM waveform selected
When the expansion ROM waveforms are used,
the Pitch Envelope does not seem to work properly.
To indicate the expansion ROM waves, Ensoniq uses MSBs (most significant bits)
contained in the 8 bytes of the pitch envelope parameter.
This complex handling of the data seem to affect the pitch envelope mistakenly.
It seems to be Ensoniq's bug, but if you know anything to fix this, please let me know.
