SG01 Series
AKAI SG01 Series are GM/GS-based PCM synthesizers. SG01k has GM sound sets, and SG01p is a piano module. They all share the same architecture.

Guessing from the 32 polyphony and the digital resonant filter, SG01 Series may be related to AKAI's 2nd generation of S Series sampler, such as S2000.
The name 01 may be related to their entry-level sampler S01, though S01 has more simple architecture without filter.

E-MU Vintage Keys is the first PCM synth focused on vintage sounds. It's a full PCM synthesizer based on Proteus / ESI-32 architecture with resonant LPF and complex modulation routings.

Roland M-VS1 is another attempt to follow E-MU. It belongs to the Sound Expansion Module Series - versions of JV-880 with SR-JV80 Sound Expansion Board.
M-VS1 has SR-JV80-04 Vintage Synth Board built in.
Roland MC-303 is a version of SoundCanvas with 'vintage' sounds. As being a GS-based synth, it may be closer to SG01v.
