SoundCanvas SC-55 was released in 1991 as the first GS format sound module,
which is an expanded version of GM - General MIDI.
Its synthesis engine is based on simple PCM playback, and users are barred access to most parameters inside the synthesis engine.
But its resonant digital filter with matrix control was outstanding in those days. SC-55mkII is a minor updated model of SoundCanvas, released in 1993.

I made a new 'Performance Editor' for SC-55mkII with SoundDiver, which can layer 4 sounds.
Using matrix control, Vector Synthesis and some sequential motion can be emulated.
