MU10 Sound Examples

On creating new sounds with MU10

MU10 has no non-linear function and other interesting synthetic features. It's just a simple rompler. Layering and filter modulation are the main tools to make a fresh sound.

The filter resonance is improved, compared to older SY series, in that MU's resonance does not make sounds weak like SY's. But MU's filter is not so sharp. It tends to make everything sound soft in the same way.

MU10's ROM waves are mostly short-looped, and don't have much variety.
There are some "Digital" single cycle waves, which are useful for emulating analog-additive hybrid synths like Kawai K3 and KORG DW-8000.

MU10 can respond to polyphonic aftertouch, and it's useful for making moving pads. See SoundCanvas page for advanced polyphonic controls.
