DigiTech DSP128 is DigiTech's first digital multi-effector. It's virtually the first digital multi-effector that can cascade up-to-3 effects with multiple effect types.
DigiTech DSP128 (1987)
DSP128 Overview
16-bit, 20Hz-12kHz. Stereo in/out. It has MIDI SysEx and responds to CC.
Though it has no editing knobs, it's very easy to use because of its simple parameter structures. The sound is grungy because of 12kHz limitation, but it gives a unique digital lo-fi taste.
Effect Types
The "Filter" is just a hi-cut filter with coarse parameter settings (the highest is at 12kHz). The delay time is long (up to 1.8s).

Sound Examples
Here are some .mp3 examples of DSP128.
All sounds are processed with DSP128 only.
DigiTech DSP128 plus soon came out after DSP128 with up-to-4 effects cascading.
The competitors at that time might be Roland DEP-5 Chorus+Delay/Reverb unit, but DSP128 exceeded by 3 cascading effects.
