About
YAMAHA CS10 is an analog monophonic synthesizer.
YAMAHA CS10 (1977)
Overview
Monophonic, 1VCO-1VCF-1Amp-2ENV-1LFO architecture.
Saw/PWM and Noise can be mixed.
The filter is 2-pole multi-mode one (LPF/BPF/HPF).
The filter envelope is amulti-step one (Initial Level, Attack Time, Attack Level, Decay, Release).
The signal from the external input can be processed with the filter.
The 37-keys are very well built.
Sound Examples
Here are .mp3 sound examples of CS10. All the sounds are processed with ZOOM 9150, as my CS10's output volume is extremely low.
The first example is a 5-track multi-recording of CS10 + 9150.
CS10 / 9150 5-track overdub (2.7MB)
Below are examples made with external input. I put KORG NS5R's sequence into CS10, then processed it with the filter and 9150.
BPF (697KB)
EP (1.3MB)
Pulse (2.0MB)
Saw (2.3MB)
See Alesis S4 plus page for sounds made with CS10 + 9150 sample waveforms.
