KORG 05R/W is a PCM synthesizer that uses ai2 (ai square) synthesis engine. It's a simple PCM synthesizer with 2 multi-FX.


KORG 05R/W (1993)

X5 is the keyboard version.

05R/W Overview

Simplified, GM compliant version the upper model 01/W. 01's unique synthetic function - Wave Shaping is omitted.
6MB PCM ROM with over 300 waveforms.
32 polyphonic.
2 multi-FX modulatable with controllers.
A single sound is made of 2 oscillators. Up to 8 sounds can be layered in the multi mode.
The digital filter has no resonance. It has "Emphasis" parameter, but it only adds very subtle effect - see 01/W page for emphasis sound example.
