AMERICAN CREW

This logo was created for a client in the promotional apparel business. His intent was to try and align himself with the Americal Apparel type of loose/fun shirt designs. I think he was planning on moving to the west coast and setting up a surf shop as well.

I'd like to take this opportunity to mention that I began my design career at a small screen printing company in New Bedford, MA. So if you would like to have anything screen printed, I've got plenty of experience and connections in this industry.

ARAUJO MASONRY & LANDSCAPING

This was originally brought to me as just a design request for a shirt, but because the customer was so happy with the work it quickly became the logo for his company.

BROWN BETTY CAFE

What a delightful project this was! A small cafe located near the Bronx in New York was in need of a logo, we connected through some emails and produced this logo. It looks even better when applied to the business cards and the letterheads which you can see in the PRINT section of my portfolio.

COMPLETE CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT SOLUTION

Or CCRMS for short, was a side project for one of my clients who was interested in branching out from her software management/education focus and taking on some of her competition.  Once I had done my research into what "CRM" was all about, the solution for what the logo should be seemed quite obvious to me.

THE DIMON INSTITUTE

I was contacted by someone looking to improve upon another designers efforts that just hadn't quite found the proper solution for their needs. The aim was to communicate a fundamental difference in their approach to education. Rather then just teaching people stuff, how about you first teach them how to learn more effectively. Doing so requires that one understands how everything from posture to breathing properly has dramatic impact on ones ability to focus on and retain information.

ELITE TANNING

A high-end tanning salon needed a logo that would complement their interior design of bright tropical colors, brushed stainless steel and hard wood floors. In the end, I was able to put the vinyl stickers on the front doors. I do indeed help my customers in anyway that I can.

FORSYTHE PLUMBING & HEATING

This project was done for a close friend of mine who was just trying to get away from having to work for anyone and was starting his own business. He'd just bought a truck and tons of tools. Now it was time for a logo, some business cards, and a website.

One of our goals was to communicate a refined attention to detail without coming off as too expensive for the general public. If you visit his website and look at some of the before & after photographs, you'll see what attention to detail really means in the plumbing & heating business.

After a few rounds of intial ideas we sat down and looked at the final handful of my concepts, chose the best one, and it took off from there. Now he's the employer and his business is finding steady success.

LILIUM

Far away in a land called California I was contacted by a couple looking to create a very specific logo for their antique/decroative arts store. A few scanned images were sent to me, along with some of the things the client did and did not want for their logo. The end product was a very happy client.

SCANDIA

They don't actually use this logo yet. The ownership of the company is being handed down from father to son and the process is still ongoing, but soon enough this logo will be on their main building, their trucks, and even stitched into the head rests of the "new" owners truck.

They specialize in installing and repairing hydraulic systems in boats both large and small. Repairing propellers also happens to be a big part of their business, as well as their current logo.

SEAHORSE RACING STABLE

I was tasked with creating a logo that contained as much of the following:

Golf

Gambling

A Sea Horse

And A Horse Stable

The client and I eventually decided that any golfing element would be too much, and that the lines between the SRS were effective enough representaions of a slot machine to make him happy.

Offcially my first freelance Rebranding project, this effort was a great opportunity to implement all that I had learned and apply it to every aspect of my clients advertising needs. Having worked as a supplier of packaging materials for several years he had decided it was time to become much more of an overall service provider for his clients. The tagline says it all. If you develop a new product and want to get it to the store shelves, he will take care of you throughout the entire process. From the initial product containment, to the packaing, right on up to how many units can fit onto trains, planes and trucks. The materials that best suit your product, the best way to display them in stores, all of it. Done.

A big step from where he was, but he was already making the transition, so why not match that effort with a new identity? If you're curious to learn more about his services, well I designed and developed his new website too.

THE SUN ALSO RISES FOUNDATION

A non-profit organization with a slant towards the more adventurous and daring philanthropist was looking to develop their identity based upon the book of the same name, and the running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain. If you were among their big donators, you could join them in an annual running of the bulls trip.

They were a great client, and I thoroughly enjoyed working with them, but after two years of trying they failed to get federal approval, and I've not heard if they're ever going to give it all another try. But I'll be here for them if they do.
